In his professional career, Michael excelled as a Master Machinist for many years, renowned for his precision, expertise, and dedication in both the automotive and aviation industries. He frequently taught and mentored others in his trade, earning the respect of colleagues and employers alike through his work ethic, skill, and meticulous attention to detail.

Outside of work, Michael was an avid sports fan, with a deep love for the New England Patriots, Boston Bruins, and the Boston Red Sox. He could often be found cheering for his teams and sharing his excitement with family and friends. Michael greatly loved the outdoors. He spent many happy times exploring the ocean, from Cape Cod to the Outer Banks of NC. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, hiking, and spending quality time with his children through these activities. As a child, he had a special love for animals, frequently bringing in strays and caring for them with a genuine compassion that was at the core of his being. These same qualities carried into his adult life, where his kindness and generosity made a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Michael’s legacy of generosity and love will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to know him. His gentle spirit and unwavering kindness touched many lives. He will be remembered for his big heart, sense of humor, boisterous laugh, and the warmth he brought into the world.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Western North Carolina Salvation Army to aid hurricane Helene victims in Michael’s memory.

Michael, you will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace.
