Melanie Dawn McIntosh Davidson, age 46, of the Glenwood Community, while surrounded by her family and friends, departed to be with the Lord at 11:59 a.m. on Sunday, May 03, 2020 at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville. A native of McDowell County, North Carolina, born December 22, 1973, she was the daughter of L C McIntosh of Marion and the late Frances Duncan McIntosh.
An amazing and loving wife, mother, daughter and sister, Melanie enjoyed her animals and fishing with her family, but most of all, she cherished the times she spent with her kids. A devoted Christian, she was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Glenwood and was known to have always put others before herself. “Well done thou good and faithful servant”-Matthew 25:21
Melanie had just celebrated her 8th wedding anniversary on April 14th and is survived by, in addition to her father, her loving husband, William Davidson; four children, Ashley Benge (Matt Callahan), Joseph Davidson, Karissa Hemphill and Kaylee Riddle; and her three siblings, Junior McIntosh (Sherry), Tracy McIntosh and Wayne McIntosh.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 07, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Upton officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., on Thursday prior to the service, at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory in Marion.
