Max Nelson Robinson

June 2, 1933 — December 10, 2020

 

 

Mr. Max Nelson Robinson, age 87, of Nebo, North Carolina, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at his residence.

 

A native of McDowell County, he was born on June 02, 1933 to the late Jack Avery Robinson and Nevada Walker Robinson.

 

Though he will be remembered as a jack of all trades, he was employed for over 40 years at Drexel Heritage. He was a member of Vein Mountain Baptist Church, and he truly loved his church family. He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors and tending to his garden. Max liked to eat, and he loved the holidays. His presence will surely be missed in the many years to come. He loved his family, and he had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by five siblings, Annie Burleson, Frances Lytle, Ralph Robinson, Hazel Branton, and his twin, Rex Robinson.

 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife and best friend, Mary Lynn Ledford Robinson; three children, Keith Robinson (Sherry), Michael Robinson (Regina), and Pam Epley (Archie); seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and two siblings, Clyde Robinson and Lois Hawkins.

 

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at 3:00 pm at Vein Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverends Barry Gouge and Mike Zullo officiating.

 

The family wishes to thank the staff of CarePartners Hospice and Palliative Care- McDowell for the extraordinary care they provided to Mr. Robinson and his family during his illness. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vein Mountain Baptist Church, 288 Maple Avenue, Marion, North Carolina 28752, for the cemetery fund.
