Maureen J. Stainbrook

Maureen Murphy Stainbrook, age 88, of Asheville, North Carolina, departed to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Aston Park Health Care Center in Asheville. She was born on December 22, 1932.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Stainbrook who passed away on December 11, 2019.

Always volunteering, Maureen was an avid supporter of women’s rights and loved nature.  Following many years, she retired as a biology teacher from White Plains High School in White Plains, New York.

She is survived by two sons, Doug Stainbrook (Andrea) of Kansas City, Kansas and Craig Stainbrook (Dina) of Marion, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Zach Stainbrook and Evie Stainbrook; and two great grandsons, Jasper and Elliott.

A private celebration of Maureen’s life will be held at a later date.
