Maude Crisp

Maude Williams Crisp, age 88, of Marion, North Carolina departed to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville.  Born in Buncombe County, North Carolina on December 25, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Rance and Rose Hollifield Williams.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Eugene Lacey Crisp who passed away on December 4, 2017; and six siblings.

A wonderful and devoted mother, grandmother and sister, Maude loved those she believed in and never expected anything in return.  Having retired from Baxter Healthcare in 1990, she enjoyed reading and looking through magazines in her spare time. 

Left to cherish her memories are her four children, Sandra Lowery, Ronald Crisp, Stephan Crisp (Megan) and Summer Crisp; one brother, David Williams (Brenda); three grandchildren, Tracy Lowery, Ashley Crisp and Joseph Lowery; three great grandchildren, Christian Lowery, Gage Wallace and Lily Lowery; and three great-great grandchildren, Avery Crisp, Peyton Chambers and Paisley Rae Lowery. 

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Rev. Millard Kiser officiating.  Interment will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery where Maude will be laid to rest next to her husband, Eugene.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
