Matthew G. Pressley

In the early morning hours of Saturday, July 21, 2018, Matthew G. Pressley, age 36, passed away unexpectedly at his residence in Nebo.   A native of McDowell County, North Carolina, born July 19, 1982, he was the son of the late Rex D. Pressley (May 19, 2014) and Jennifer White Pressley (December 8, 2014).

Beloved by many, Matthew had a generous heart and never asked for handouts.  He loved all his friends and would treat them like family and would take care of others before himself.  He enjoyed being outdoors, but Matthew’s family was his world, especially his children. 

He is survived by three children, Aaron Pressley, Jaden Pressley and Jordan Pressley; one brother, Daniel Pressley and his wife, Jessica; and three aunts; one uncle; and a number of cousins. 

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Nebo.
