Mary Huskins

Mary Washburn Huskins, age 94, of the Dysartsville Community, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 22, 2016 at her residence.  Her loving family was by her side.  Born on June 22, 1921 in Mitchell County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Trissie Cox Washburn.

 Mary loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was a longtime member of Dysartsville Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Spurlin.

She is survived by one son, Jerry Huskins (Mary); one daughter, Shirley Moore (Charles); six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Dysartsville Baptist Church in Nebo with Rev. John Cope officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the church.
