Mary Dillingham

Mary Puckridge Dillingham, age 72, of Morganton and formally of Marion, passed away on Wednesday, August 09, 2017 while at Carolina Continue CARE Hospital in Charlotte.  Her loving family was at her side.  A native of Yancey County, North Carolina, born on August 12, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Florence Sheehan Puckridge.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by four children, Clyde Seaman, Lori Lowe; and twins, Linda and Brenda Seaman. 

A loving and wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, Miss Mary enjoyed working in her flowers and had an interest in arts and crafts.  She had just celebrated her 44th marriage anniversary with her husband, Johnny Dillingham on August 08, 2017. 

Left to cherish her memories, in addition to her husband, Johnny, are five children, Wanda Seaman, Sherry Preston, Terry Smith and her husband, Brian, Shannon Brinkley and Johnny Dillingham, Jr.  She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, Dakota Brinkley, Sharon Thorne, Hannah Street, Samantha Smith, Brian Smith, Mary Silvers, Elisha Cox, Ricky Thomas, Kim Lowery, Michael Seaman, Robert Seaman, Logan Seaman and Jessica Shinault ; numerous great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service to honor the life of Miss Mary will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Rev. Eddie Bunton officiating.  Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
