Marvin Davis

On the morning of Saturday, October 03, 2020, Mr. Marvin Davis, age 62, of the North Cove Community, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home with his family by his side.  The son of the late Horace and Marie Davis, he was born in Rutherford County, North Carolina on November 16, 1957. 

A simple man who was dedicated to his family and his job, Marvin was an avid fisherman.  Spending time with his family and friends meant the world to him. 

Marvin is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Judy Davis of the home; one daughter, Loretta Davis (Joe Thomas) of North Cove; one son, Brian Davis (Cassie) of Raleigh; and five wonderful grandchildren, Jordan Davis, Jayden Davis, Angel Thomas, Preston Thomas and R.J. Thomas.  He is also survived by five brothers, Calvin Davis, Dennis “Porky” Davis, Kenneth “Fuzzy” Davis (Carolyn), Eddie Davis (Julie) and Wayne Davis (Becky); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate the life of Marvin will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Landmark Independent Baptist Church, 225 Huskins Branch Road in Marion.
