Martha Jane Wease

October 21, 1933 — October 13, 2019

 

Martha Jane Jones Wease, age 85, of Bostic, North Carolina, departed to be with the Lord on the evening of Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Fair Haven Nursing Home in Bostic with her loving family by her side.  Born in Henderson County, North Carolina on October 21, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Laura Nanney Jones Greene. 

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, King Wease; and one grandson, Robert Lee.

 

A member of Bible Tabernacle Church in Rutherfordton, Martha was famous for her homemade biscuits and spoon burgers.  She enjoyed sewing, but loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

 

She is survived by her five children, Virginia Bradley, Kathy Curtis (Randy), Debbie Lee (Tony), Jackie Sylvester (Mark) and Dale Wease (Regina); twelve grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. 

 

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Bible Tabernacle Church with Rev. Joseph Greene officiating.  Interment will follow at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the church.
