Mark Alan Stafford

Mark Alan Stafford, age 52, of Marion, North Carolina, departed to be with the Lord on Monday, November 30, 2020 at Mission Hospital McDowell.  A native of McDowell County, North Carolina, born on January 20, 1968, he was the son of the late Roy and Linda Greene Stafford.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant sisters.

A faithful employee of Baxter’s Healthcare for 30 years, Mark was a caregiver, and in fact, he always did for others before he would do for himself.  He truly cherished his family and will be missed by all who knew him.  Mark, who was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church, loved the Lord and cherished the love he had for his wife, Trish.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia “Trish” Wilson Stafford; two sisters, Diana McPeters (David) and Debbie Garcia (Raul); and one brother, Steve Stafford (Tracy).  Mark is also survived by four nieces, Brandy Dayton, Ashley Penland, Jereka Stafford and Jennifer Blake; three nephews, Hunter Wilson, Dylan Wilson and Chuck Mathis; one great niece, Kennedy Wilson; and five great nephews, Ezra Ghant, Zane Stevens, Eli Medford, Kayden Stroud and Christen Bartlett. 

A celebration of Mark’s life will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at Faith Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Gary Greene officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the church.
