Mark Anthony Mode

Mark Anthony Mode, 43, of Morganton, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 23, 2023.

He was born in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on March 22, 1980. He was the son of the late Ray Mode and Betty Jean Chapman Mode. A special cousin, Jackie Childers, also preceded him in death.

Mark held several jobs over the years, but he mostly worked as a pipefitter. He had a very adventurous spirit and was always going somewhere. He found peace in the woods. He was very mechanically inclined and enjoyed tinkering on cars. Mark was always happy, and he loved music. He recently started playing the guitar.

He is survived by his children, Tyler Mode (Kimberly), Brittney Mode, and Kalee Mode; four grandchildren, Jericho Mode, Asher Mode, Braylen Mode, and Sadie Ward; and his siblings, Jo Kelly Ellis, Garrett Holladay, Robert Mode, Richard Ray Mode, Michael Lee Mode, and Melissa Chapman.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory.
