Marjorie Styles Gardner

Marjorie Styles Gardner, 90, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away on the evening of Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at CarePartners Hospice Solace Center in Asheville.

She was born May 08, 1931 in Yancey County to the late Blake and Ollie Mae Smith Styles.
Margie was a longtime member of Glenwood Baptist Church, and she was well known throughout the Glenwood Community. She retired from Baxter Health Care. She was a very loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Margorie was always a happy positive person and was known to always put others first. She was most happy while spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Jack Gardner; and her son, Doug Gardner and his wife Shirley McKinney Gardner.
She is survived by her daughter, Dianne Brewer (Tommy); four grandchildren, Scotty Stacy, Dustin Stacy, Jason Gardner (Mandi), Sara Gardner and six great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Patsy Pope.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Dr. Dennis Love officiating. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m.
