Marjorie Fields

Marjorie Murphy Fields, age 81, of Marion, North Carolina passed away Monday, March 27, 2017 at Rose Hill Retirement Community with her loving family by her side. She was born in Jackson County, Kentucky on February 26, 1936 to the late Edwin Ted and Bertie Burns Murphy.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. Griffith; and one son, Michael Todd Griffith. 

Marjorie, who was passionate about her interior designing and fashion, owned and operated The Fashion Loft in Kettering, Ohio and later owned L.W. Fields Moving & Storage.  She had lived in Dayton, Ohio, Tampa, Florida; and later moved and happily settled down in Marion, North Carolina. 

Marjorie is survived by her five children, Kenneth T. Griffith (Joy Ann), Vicky Lynn Mumford (Robby), Guy Edwin Griffith, Stephanie Kyra Adamski (Richard) and Shywan Lee Fields; one sister, Betsy Russello. Also, surviving Marjorie are thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service in Marion. 

A funeral service will be held Monday, April 03, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Xenia, Ohio with Reverend Josh Bevan officiating.  Interment will follow at Willow View Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio.
