Maria Astello

Maria Astello, de 66 años, de Marion, Carolina del Norte, falleció el lunes 6 de septiembre de 2021 rodeada de su familia en Carolinas Healthcare-Blue Ridge. María nació el 9 de marzo de 1955 del fallecido Octaviano Astello y Paula Muniz.

María era originaria de Tamaulipas, México y nació en un hermoso pueblo llamado Tula, donde creció con sus doce hermanos y hermanas. María emigró a los Estados Unidos a la edad de 17 años y a la edad de 34 conoció al amor de su vida, Guadalupe Linares. A lo largo de los años, trabajó en Columbia Carolina y fue conocida por su sentido del humor. Era una persona caritativa a la que le encantaba cocinar para su familia y disfrutaba de la jardinería.

Además de Guadalupe Linares, le sobreviven tres hijos, Gaston Astello, Zulema Astello y Adrian Astello y siete hermanos y cuatro hermanas. También sobreviven a María sus cuatro nietos, Steven Navarrete, Cindy Navarrete, Marco Astello y Paula Navarrete.

Se llevará a cabo un funeral el viernes 10 de septiembre de 2021 a las 5:00 p.m. en la Iglesia Católica Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles.


Maria Astello, age 66, of Marion, North Carolina passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021 surrounded by her family at Carolinas Healthcare-Blue Ridge. Maria was born on March 9, 1955 to the late Octaviano Astello and Paula Muniz.


Maria was originally from Tamaulipas, Mexico and was born in a beautiful town called Tula, where she grew up with her twelve brothers and sisters. Maria immigrated to the United States at the age of 17 and at the age of 34 she met the love of her life, Guadalupe Linares. Through the years she worked at Columbia Carolina and was known for her sense of humor. She was a charitable person who loved cooking for her family and enjoyed gardening.

In addition to Guadalupe Linares, she is survived by three children, Gaston Astello, Zulema Astello and Adrian Astello and seven brothers and four sisters. Also surviving Maria are her four grandchildren, Steven Navarrete, Cindy Navarrete, Marco Astello and Paula Navarrete.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church.
