Margaret Shehan

  Margaret Shehan, age 90, went home to be with her Lord, at Mountain Ridge Health & Rehab, on Tuesday, January 05, 2021. She was born on June 26, 1930 in McDowell County, North Carolina, to the late Earl Grady and Ruby Pearl Gregory Smith.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lee Shehan; a son, Charles Lee Shehan Jr. and a daughter, Elizabeth Shehan Ferguson.

 Margaret was a member of Bethel Freewill Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and enjoyed helping her students make crafts. She loved holidays with her family. She loved her church family and was known to help anyone in need. Margaret loved her family and the Lord, most of all.

 Left to cherish her memory are her four children, James Shehan (Yvonne), Linda Robinson (Earl), Barbara Holden (Paul) and Lora Bohon (John); eighteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

 A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Pastor Ray Stockton & Larry Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at McDowell Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
