Margaret Mace

Margaret Rhom Mace, age 78, of Marion, North Carolina, departed to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville.  The daughter of the late Garther and Loney Arrowood Rhom, she was born in McDowell County, North Carolina on August 11, 1942.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Mace; one granddaughter, Hartley Mace; one daughter, Susie Brown; and one brother Jim Rhom. 

A member of Faith Mission Baptist Church in Marion, Margaret would help anyone in need.  She loved the Lord and her family, especially her grandchildren.  She was loved and will be missed by all her knew her. 

Margaret is survived by four children, Mikie Mace, Ronnie Mace (Tammy), Tony Mace and Scottie Mace; one sister, Elizabeth Mace; two brothers, Ricky Rhom (Margaret) and Dennis Rhom (Sandy); twelve grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 22, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Faith Mission Baptist Church. 

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Mission Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Ledford and Pastor Scotty Calloway officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
