Margaret Ann Guinn Gibson

On the morning of Monday, March 4, 2024 Margaret Ann Guinn Gibson, 82, of Marion passed away at her residence. 

Margaret was born on December 6, 1941 in Sullivan County, TN., to the late Rev. George Washington Guinn and the late Margaret Elizabeth Wright Guinn.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend that will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Some of her many joys was going to the beach and spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved listening to music. Margaret was a longtime member of the Women of the Moose and she retired from Coats America. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Susan Dale Vess, Denise Killian (Danny) and Jeff Smith; her siblings, Pat Cantey, George “Doonie” Guinn and Rebecca Harrill; five grandchildren, Wesley Killian, Justin Killian, Alan Barrier, Danielle Gossett and Chloe Smith; four great grandchildren, Caleb Collins, Matthew Collins, Rhilee Barrier and Ruby Barrier and a number of nieces and nephews. 

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service with the Rev. Tanner Mundy officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at McDowell Memorial Park. 

The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of Carolina Caring for their help in Margaret’s time of need and a special thank you to Susan Bishop and niece, Alicia Sharp.
