Margaret E. Forbes

Margaret E. Forbes, age 66, of Marion, North Carolina, following a brief illness, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018 at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville with her loved ones at her side.  Born in Mitchell County, North Carolina on February 20, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Mark and Hazel Pittman Forbes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Lucy Blevins. 

A loving mother, sister and friend, Margaret, who cared for others before herself, loved to travel.  Following many years, she retired from Baxter Healthcare and was a member of Conley Memorial Presbyterian Church in North Cove. 

Margaret is survived by one son, Joel Forbes; two brothers, Sam Forbes and Jack Forbes; four sisters, Reva Yoakum (John), Mildred Robinson (Ernie), Ellen Hemphill (Ronnie) and Nancy Frady (Willie); and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. 

A celebration of Margaret's life will be held on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at Conley Memorial Presbyterian Church, 500 Old Linville Road in the North Cove Community of Marion.
