Madeline Nunnally

Madeline Davis Nunnally, wonderful mother, grandmother and friend to all, departed to be with the Lord on Monday, August 03, 2020 at Autumn Care of Marion. The daughter of the late Hosten and Hester Ledford Davis, she was born in McDowell County, North Carolina on November 21, 1922.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Otto Nunnally (June 20th, 2006); one son, Donald “Butch” Nunnally (February 6th, 2020); and nine siblings.

Madeline, who will be missed by all, was an amazing story teller, piano player and loved to garden.  She was a great cook and was known for her incredible biscuits.  Madeline was a member of Garden Creek Baptist Church in Marion.

She is survived by one son, Steve Nunnally (Kathy); one daughter, Julia Nunnally Duncan (Steve); one daughter-in-law, Mary Briggs Nunnally; one brother, John Ray Davis (Joyce); five grandchildren, Jeff Nunnally, Shaun Nunnally, Mitzi Nunnally, Matthew Nunnally (Niki) and Annie Duncan; five great grandchildren, Trinton, Gavin, Brionna, Torreon and Jada; and several nieces and nephews.

A private celebration of her life will be held.  Entombment will follow at McDowell Memorial Park.
