Mable Loretta Brewer

Loretta Brewer, age 79, of Old Fort, North Carolina passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 14, 2017. Loretta who was a native of McDowell County was born on October 6, 1938 to the late Thad Dixon and Dorothy Harvey Stevens.

She is preceded in death by her husband of thirty years, GW Brewer and one brother, Darrell Stevens.

Loretta attended Living Waters Tabernacle and loved her church very much. She was known to be generous and always happy. She had a good sense of humor and loved life. Loretta enjoyed cooking, crossroad puzzles and shopping, but mostly she loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory are her three children, Mitchell Davis (Tina), Jeff Davis and April Brewer Ferko (Stephen); one sister; Joyce Stevens and one brother, Marvin Stevens. Also surviving Loretta are six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A funeral service to celebrate Mrs. Brewer’s life will be held on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Living Waters Tabernacle with Reverend Keith Jamison officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place at Moffitt Hill Cemetery.
