Lynn "Nikki" Loftis

On the night of Sunday, August 05, 2018, Lynn “Nikki” Loftis, age 46, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away following a courageous battle with cancer at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville.  The daughter of John L. Loftis of Nebo and the late Brenda Helton Loftis, she was born in McDowell County on June 10, 1972.

Nikki was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and enjoyed listening to Christian music, especially the McKameys.  Known to always have a smile, she was a friend to anyone she came into contact with.  Nikki loved her family and friends, but loved her dog, “Sis” and her cat, “Tater” as well.

She is survived by her father, John L. Loftis (Pat); two brothers, Scotty Loftis (Julie) and Travis Loftis (Carey); three uncles, Jerry Loftis, Bo Loftis and Jerry Helton; and a special aunt, Doris Robinson.  She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends, including special friend, Sharon Webb. 

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 09, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Upton and Rev. Jason Bright officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the church.
