On the night of Thursday, August 31, 2017, while surrounded by her loving family, Lynda Joann Smith Inabinett, “Sissy”, age 71, of Marion, passed away at Burke Hospice & Palliative Care’s Hospice House in Valdese. A native of McDowell County, North Carolina, born September 08, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mildred Rhinehart Smith.
A 1963 graduate of Marion High School, Lynda worked in several doctor’s offices where she proudly served many roles. She loved to watch, whether it be on TV or in person, sports and was known to support the North Carolina Tar Heels.
She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Robert Inabinett of the home; one sister, Cindy Womick of Marion; one uncle, Dean Rhinehart and his wife, Louise and their daughter, Kim of Black Mountain; one nephew, Josh Davis and his wife, Keshia and their daughter, Aurora of Marion; several cousins; and special friend, Tommy Yoakum, also survive.
A celebration of Miss Lynda’s life will be held on Sunday, September 03, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Mr. Jim Rhinehart and Mr. Daniel Womick officiating.
