Louis "Herbie" Edward Reece

Louis “Herbie” Edward Reece, 49, of Canton, North Carolina, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022.

Herbie was born in Burke County on January 24, 1973 to Donald Wayne and the late Vivian Joyce Jairl Reece.  He was a member of Sunny Point Baptist Church in Canton. Herbie loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren. He also loved animals.

 In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by a brother, Joe Reece.

 Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Priscilla Reece of the home; his father, Donald Reece; two step children, Charity Gregory of Canton and Demetria Wyatt of Jacksonville, Florida; two sisters, Deborah King of Nebo and Vickie Martinez (Marcos) of Marshall Texas; a brother Scott Reece (Geneva) of Marion; two grandchildren, Brayleigh Wyatt of Marion and Landon Martinez of Canton.  He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

 A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with the Rev Doug Henson officiating. Interment will follow at Muddy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

 The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
