Lorrie Diane Edwards

Ms. Lorrie Diane Lanning Edwards, age 57 of Rutherfordton, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her family. Born on August 6, 1961, she was the daughter of the late John Lanning, and Doris Curry Lanning.

Lorrie was a former member of Faith Baptist Church, and enjoyed solving word puzzles, knitting, and crocheting. Lorrie never met a stranger; she loved everyone, especially children. She had a love for cooking and always enjoyed a meal with family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are two children, A.J. Edwards (Danylle), and Heather Killough; one brother, Eddie Lanning (Louella); four sisters, Jackie Westmoreland (Ricky), Terri McNeely (Bruce), Lisa Lanning, & Susan Mills. Also left behind are two grandchildren, Hunter and Emma Killough, and numerous nieces & nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Lorrie will be held on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with the Reverend Harold Webb officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
