Loretta Reno

Loretta Surrett Reno, age 39, of Nebo, North Carolina, while surrounded by her family and friends, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center in Asheville.  The daughter of the late Weaver Surrett and Anita Rikard of Lenoir, North Carolina, she was born June 5, 1976 in Catawba County, North Carolina.

 

A wonderful mother, grandmother and daughter, Loretta was a friend to many.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and friends. 

 

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by one brother, Jonathan Surrett.

 

She is survived by, in addition to her mother, her fiancé, Steven Hugh Caldwell, Jr.; two sons, Austin Bensley (JoEsha) and Mark Bensley (Cheyanne); one daughter, Holly Bensley; one brother, Weaver Surrett, Jr. (Susie); and two grandchildren, Jace Condrey and Kayden Bensley. A number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.

 

A celebration of Loretta’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Covenant Church, 3015 Heffner Place, Hudson, North Carolina, with Brother Freddy Stapleton officiating.
