Lorena Annie Burnette

Lorena Annie Burnette, born on July 30, 1929, in Old Fort, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2025, at Rose Hill of Marion, leaving behind a rich legacy of love and kindness.

Lorena was a cherished member of the Old Fort Methodist Church, where her vibrant spirit and unwavering faith touched the lives of many within her community. Known for her passion for gardening and golfing, she found joy in the simpler pleasures of life and embraced her independence with a joyful heart.

As a loving and caring aunt, Lorena played a significant role in the lives of her family. She is survived by her nieces, Gerry Brown and her husband Phillip, Kathy Hollifield, and Carolyn Fazekas and her husband Ron Eldridge. Additionally, her nephew, Don Burnette, and wife Lisa will carry forth her memory. She is also survived by one great nieces and five nephews.

Lorena was preceded in death by her parents, Claude Burnette and Myrtle Allison, who provided her a strong foundation of love and support. She is also preceded in death by a sister Dolly Hollifield; two brothers, William Burnette and Donald Burnette.

The visitation for Lorena will be held on January 25, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory, located at 2170 Rutherford Rd, Marion, NC 28752. Following this, her funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM at the same location. Rev. Kim Baker will be officiating the service.

Lorena Annie Burnette will be remembered for her warm heart, dedication to her family, and the joy she found in her daily pursuits. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
