Lorean Baldwin

Lorean McKinney Baldwin, age 82, of Marion, North Carolina passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Baldwin was born May 23, 1936 in Erwin, TN to the late Clay and Carthy Lowery McKinney.  She was raised in Altapass, NC for most of her life.   Mrs. Baldwin was a strong, Appalachian woman and a loving mother.  She enjoyed reading and was a wonderful cook. Her family especially loved her walnut cream cake and homemade biscuits. 

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Everette Baldwin.

Those left behind to cherish Mrs. Baldwin’s memory are five beloved children, Phillip Baldwin, Carmen Baldwin, Kimberley Baldwin, Mark Baldwin and Billi Baldwin; two grandsons, Matthew Baldwin and Nicholas Strattion and wife, Sierra; one great-grandson, Connor Baldwin; and one sister, Josephine McKinney.

In keeping with Mrs. Baldwin’s wishes, no services will be held at this time.
