Lois Juanita Owen

Lois Juanita Owen, affectionately known as Juanita, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2024, at the Hospice of the Carolina Foothills Inpatient Unit. Born on July 19, 1948, in McDowell County, Juanita was a beacon of love and kindness who touched the lives of all who knew her.

A devoted mother, sister, and grandmother, she embodied the definition of love, making time for her family and friends, and always eager to offer her support. Her warm spirit and welcoming nature made her a cherished presence in the lives of her loved ones.

Juanita leaves behind her loving daughter, Kim Auton; her son, Stephen Benge; her brothers, Larry Carver and his wife Virginia, Lee Carver and his wife Kris, and Neil Carver and his wife Wilma. She was a proud grandmother to Chad Auton and his wife Casside, Tyler Auton, C'Airra Benge, and Amber Benge, and a treasured great-grandmother to Emma Auton and Ayden Noblitt.

Her memory will forever be cherished, especially as they remember her gentle heart and unwavering love. Juanita is preceded in death by her grandson, Mitchell Auton. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
