Lois Virginia Messer

 Mrs. Lois Messer, age 81, passed away Wednesday, December 09, 2020 at Memorial Mission Campus in Asheville, North Carolina. She was born in McDowell County, North Carolina on January 08, 1939 to the late George and Maggie Wilson Allison.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Bo Trinks.

 Lois was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was known for putting others before herself. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church and she loved her church family. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, cooking, traveling and shopping. Lois loved her family and her canine companion, Little Bit.

 She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Paul Messer; her children, Alan Trinks (Barbara), John Trinks, Revonda Trinks, Eddie Trinks; two step daughters, Dawn Messer Andrews (Mike) and Tonya Messer Johnson (David); four siblings, Helen Wyatt (Perk), Shirley Dalton (Herman), Joe Allison (Phyllis), Calvin Allison (Billie); seven grandchildren; four step grandchildren; and a number of great grandchildren.

 A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Rev. Randy Arrowood and Rev. Martin Riddle officiating. Interment will follow at McDowell Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
