Lois Margaret Graybeal

     Lois Margaret Cornett Graybeal, 94, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Henderson Care Center in Forest City.

     Mrs. Graybeal was born in Avery County, NC on October 2, 1928, to the late Arthur Cornett and Media Calhoun Cornett. She was married to the late Danie H. Graybeal, her husband of 60 years. She was a member of Providence United Methodist Church in Marion. Mrs. Graybeal loved to cook and enjoyed trips to the beach with her family. She was a loving wife and a devoted mother who loved spending time with her grandchildren. She touched the hearts of many and will be greatly missed.

     In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Stacey.

     Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Danny Graybeal & wife Carolyn; a son in law, Roger Stacey; ten grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

     A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, May 7, 2023, at the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. Rev. Homer Murdock will officiate. Burial will later follow at McDowell Memorial Park.
