Lois Marie Early

During the early morning hours of Monday, June 08, 2020, Mrs. Lois Marie Hensley Early, age 91 of Marion, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Autumn Care of Marion. The daughter of the late Willy Aaron Hensley and Blanche Ricketts Hensley, she was born in McDowell County on May 29, 1929.

Lois, who was of the Baptist faith, had a love of gardening. She loved working with flowers and could mostly be found in her flower garden at her home in Old Fort. A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, Lois was a matriarch in her family and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Left behind to cherish her memories are her daughter, Beverly Buckner, and her husband Ritchie; one sister, Jean Lonon, and one brother, Harold Hensley; two grandchildren, Mark Tinnin and wife Jenny, and Andrew Tinnin. She also leaves behind four precious great grandchildren, Anniston, Alexis, Hunter, and Houston Tinnin.

In accordance with Lois’ wishes, no services are to be held.
