Lisa Diane Ledford

Lisa Diane Ledford, age 49, of Marion, while surrounded by her family, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2016 following a brief battle with cancer.  The daughter of Carolyn Effler Jones and the late Thomas Lee Jones, Lisa was a native of McDowell County, North Carolina, born on February 07, 1967.

When she was not riding motorcycles with her husband, Lisa enjoyed hunting, camping, gardening and taking care of the animals on her small farm. 

Lisa is survived by her husband, who was the love of her life, Alvin Dale Ledford; mother, Carolyn Effler Jones; two daughters, Ericka Jones and Kansas Lowery; two grandsons, Cooper Jones and Greyson Buie; her father and mother- in-law, Floyd and Mary Ledford; two sisters, Tammie Fortune and her husband, Jeff; and Lacey Jones; one nephew, Colten Fortune; one niece, Baylee Fortune; brother-in-law, David Ledford and his wife, Ann;  and her sister-in-law, Joann Ledford.  Lisa was blessed to have also been survived by two daughters by marriage, Faith Creel and her daughter, Hannah Creel; and Charity Ledford and her children, Kalila Ledford and Saint Jones. 

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at the St. John’s Episcopal Church’s Parish House in Marion.  The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the Parish House.
