Lisa Kirby

Lisa Marler Kirby, age 53, of Marion, NC passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, March 13, 2018.

Lisa was born in McDowell County, NC to the late Troy Jack Marler and Patricia Ann Dalton Curtis.  She was a longtime member of Refuge Baptist Church.  Lisa was known as a very kindhearted person.  She loved her pets but mostly loved her family.  She enjoyed reading, writing poetry and doing arts and crafts.  Lisa will be greatly missed by friends all around the world.

Left behind to cherish Lisa’s memories are her husband of 20 years, James D. Kirby; one step-daughter, Shannon Braswell (Brandon); two step-grandchildren, Rileigh Williams and Carter Braswell; two sisters, Kim Bartlett (Jeff) and Amanda Cable (David); and special nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, March 16, 2018 at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory.  A funeral service to celebrate Lisa’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Refuge Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Gentry and Rev. Jim Ledford officiating.  Burial will follow the service at McDowell Memorial Park.
