Linda Owensby Lewis, 86, of Marion, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Autumn Care of Marion.
She was born in Marion on December 6, 1937 to the late John Harold Robinette and Sallie Owensby Robinette.
Linda was employed for many years at Collins & Aikman as an inspector. She later joined her late husband and son as co-owner of Carolina Chocolatiers. More than anything, she happily cared for her grandchildren from birth. They were the light of her world. Linda was an exceptional cook and will be remembered for her delicious fried apple pies. She also had a passion for gardening and caring for her flowers.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Dale Lewis; son, Kelly Dale Lewis; and five siblings, Jack Owensby, Dorothy Owensby, Evelyn Southerland, Jone Penley, and Laura Hall.
She is survived by one son, Michael Lewis and wife Miranda; two grandchildren, Sara Lewis and Michael Lewis; and seven siblings, Nadean Penland, John Robinette, Joe Robinette, Jewel Robinette, Jimmy Robinette, Jerry Robinette, and Angel Robinette.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. A private graveside service will be held at McDowell Memorial Park.
