Linda Gail Casey

Linda Gail McGee Casey, age 60, of Morganton, NC passed away unexpectedly Sunday, February 25, 2018 at her home.

Mrs. Casey was born February 18, 1958 in McDowell County, NC to the late William Alfonzo McGee, Jr. and Katherine Washburn McGee.  She loved the outdoors and spending time at the lake.  She was a fun-loving prankster who never met a stranger.  Her children describe her as, “Our sweet, funny, crazy, never a dull moment, always got our back, tough as nails mama!!”

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by one sister, Nancy Lane Browning and one brother, A.J. McGee.

Left behind to cherish her memories are her loving husband, of 43 years, Jim Casey, IV; two children, Brandy Spangler and husband, Bob and Jimmy Casey, V; three siblings, Rev. Doug McGee and wife Brenda, Archie McGee and Wyonna and Loretta Schreck and husband, Dave; one brother-in-law, Richard Browning; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Casey; and many other relatives.  Also surviving Mrs. Casey are five beloved grandchildren, who where her pride and joy, D’Wayne, Cullen, Kaedon, Kylie and Journey.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory.  A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Keith McGee officiating.  Burial will follow the service at Nebo Baptist Church Cemetery.
