Linda Faye Arrowood

Linda Patton Arrowood, age 67, of Marion, North Carolina passed away Friday morning September 1, 2017 with her loving family by her side. She was born October 31, 1949 in McDowell County to the late Samuel Garland Patton and Ruby Mae Sumlin Rhom.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Julie M. Patton.

Linda was a member of Ridgeway Free Will Baptist Church. She owned Buchanan Tax Service and was known as being a hard worker. Linda loved shopping for antiques and was a wonderful cook. She was very devoted to her family and will be missed by all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of fifty years, Robert “Pudge” Arrowood, one daughter, Amy Arrowood Ward and husband Mike; one brother, Samuel “Bo” Patton and wife Rita and Jeff Arrowood who she thought of as an adopted son.

A funeral service for Linda will be held on Monday, September 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Reverends Jimmy Upton and John Crowder officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Ridgeway Free Will Baptist Church.
