Linda Ann Rapan Smith

Late in the evening of Tuesday, November 5, 2024, Linda Ann Rapan Gee Smith, 72, of Black Mountain passed away at Memorial Mission in Asheville. 

Linda was born in Wellsville, New York on November 10, 1951 to Raymond Rapan and Ella K. Walsh who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Tina Gee.

 After twenty-six years of dedicated service, Linda retired from Columbia Carolina. She loved spending her spare time shopping, loafing and going out to eat. Planting and tending to her flowers brought her much enjoyment and made her life a little more beautiful. Her most precious time was spent with her kids and grandkids who will greatly miss her.

Left to cherish her memory are her four children, Joey Gee, David Smith (Jessica Green), Mark Smith (Jennifer Smith) and James Smith (Pam Smith); her twin brother, Lee Rapan; her grandchildren, Anthony Gee, Casey Smith, Seth Smith, Katie Smith, Amanda Kay and Crystal Cline, and a nephew Freddy Rapan (Norma).

A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
