Lillian Mae Wyatt Roland

Lillian Mae Wyatt Roland, 96, of Nebo, North Carolina, passed away Sunday evening, February 12, 2023 at her home.

She was born March 2, 1926 to the late Walter and Evelyn Wright Wyatt.

Lillian was a member of Trinity Hill Free Will Baptist Church. She was a faithful pastor’s wife and a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed singing, shopping, and cooking. Lillian loved visiting with her many friends she had made down through the years.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Rev. Carl Roland; and two grandchildren, Patrick Edwards and Amanda Edwards.

She is survived by her six children, Linda Rhyne, Judy Edwards, Dennis Roland (Barbara), Beverly Baker, Jerry Roland, and John Roland; eight grandchildren, Scotty Rhyne, Carla Walker, Stanley Edwards, Dustin Edwards, Jason Edwards, Joanna Johnson, Dan Roland, and Jeremy Baker; and ten great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Hill Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Rev. Dean Owenby officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m.
