Lesley Alan Grooms

Alan Grooms, a beloved father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully at his residence on January 14, 2025, at the age of 52. He was born on June 28, 1972, in Buncombe County. Alan was known for his kind and generous spirt, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Throughout his life, Alan dedicated himself to his family, cherishing the moments spent with his children and grandchildren. He took immense pride in being a father to Lesley Austin, Samuel Abel, and Joy Abigail Grooms. His love for his family extended to his role as a grandfather to three beautiful granddaughters: Adeline, Lillian, and Alani Grooms, who will fondly remember the warmth and joy he brought into their lives.

 Alan is also survived by his devoted mother, Lou Ann Hackney, and his younger brother, Dylan Grooms, and his wife, Nikki.

 He is preceded in death by his father, Carl Lesley Grooms, Jr.

 As those who knew him mourn the loss of a truly giving person, they will forever remember the many lives he touched with his generosity and love. Alan Grooms leaves behind a rich legacy of kindness that will continue to inspire his family and friends.
