Lena “Faye” Williams Waycaster, 77, of Marion, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Deer Park Health and Rehabilitation. 

 

She was born in McDowell County on December 27, 1946 to the late Garland Marvin Williams and Lena Pearson Williams. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Donald Williams.

 

Faye was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She placed great importance on her family and enjoyed reunions and picnics. She believed that any time spent with family was time well spent. Faye was a wonderful cook, and she did a lot of canning as well. She took great pride in working with her flower garden. Faye enjoyed traveling, and she especially loved going to the coast. 

 

She is survived by her husband, Wade Lee Waycaster; three sons, Jeff Waycaster (Lora), Steve Waycaster (Carol), and Scott Waycaster (Wendy); four grandchildren, Cody Waycaster (Ashley), Stacey Sharpe (David), Blake Watson (Betsy), and Danielle Hart (Clay); nine great grandchildren, Liam Waycaster, Aurora Waycaster, Autumn Waycaster, Khol Sharpe, Jackson Sharpe, Liliana Sheridan, Elspeth Sheridan, Sylvia Sharpe, and Elisha Watson; and four siblings, Joyce Fisher, Annette Gouge (Kenneth), Wayne Williams, and Arthur Williams.

 

Services will be private for the family.
