Lee Wesley Presnell

Lee Wesley Presnell, 86, of Burnsville, North Carolina, passed away Monday evening, October 11, 2021 at his home.

He was born in Marion on August 16, 1935 to the late W.B. Presnell and Alice Vickers Presnell.

He graduated from Nebo High School and formerly worked as a supervisor for Collins and Aikman . A lifelong resident of western North Carolina, Lee loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, reading, and visiting flea markets. He attended Fairview Free Will Baptist Church.

He is also preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters, Ruth, Theakla, Joe, James, Arnold, Paul, and John.

He is survived by three children; Wes Presnell (Judy), Chris Presnell (Sharon), and Sharon Sargent (Eddie); five grandchildren; one great grandchild; two sisters, Bonnie Lavender (Frank), Rose Parkins (Walt); dear nieces, Essie Sue Fox, and Patsy Rollins (Ted); his former wife and dear friend, Christine Presnell; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Pastor Wayne Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice organization of one’s choice.
