Lawrence "Larry" Herbert Hadley, Jr.

In the early morning hours of Wednesday, May 26, 2021, Lawrence "Larry" Herbert Hadley, Jr., 66, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away at his residence.

He was born May 20, 1955 in Nadic, Massachusetts to Meredith Hadley Schmidt of West Palm Beach, Florida and the late Lawrence Herbert Hadley, Sr.

Having moved from West Palm Beach, Florida, Larry made Marion his home 15 years ago. He drove trucks for most of his life and worked for McDowell Department of Social Services for approximately 8 years. He loved camping and traveling, and he had a special passion for motorcycles. Larry will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends.

In addition to his mother, Larry is survived by his wife, Alice Hadley; his son, Paul Michael Hadley, of Black Mountain, North Carolina; two step daughters, Charlene Wasserman and Michelle Drevas; five grandchildren, Dylan Hadley, Nico Natale, Tessa Pocevic, Joshua Drevas, and Jessica Lauer; and two sisters, Merrianne Hadley, of Antioch, Tennessee and Karen Hadley Slocom, of West Palm Beach, Florida.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, June 05, 2021 at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory in Marion from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m.
