Larry Michael "Pop" Bradley

July 21, 1950 — June 4, 2018

Larry “Pop” Michael Bradley, age 67, of Marion, North Carolina went to be with the Lord Monday, June 4, 2018 at Mission Hospital McDowell, surrounded by his loving family.

 

Larry was born July 21, 1950 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Wilfred and Martha Pilgram Bradley.  He was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Vietnam War.  He retired from Columbia Carolina and he had also worked for H & R Block as an accountant for 28 years.  He was a member of Bethel Free Will Baptist Church.  Larry loved his family, and his grandchildren were his life.  He enjoyed helping others, even to the point of sacrificing himself for the benefit of others.  He also enjoyed working in his yard and playing golf.

 

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his father-in-law and best friend, Delane Honeycutt; his mother-in-law, Colene Honeycutt; and his sister-in-law, Tammy Frady.

 

Left behind to cherish Larry’s memories are the love of his life of 42 years, Kathy Honeycutt Bradley; two children, Jeannine Woodrow of Marion, NC and Jamie Baucom of Hampton, NJ; one brother, Gary Bradley and wife, Rosie of Marion, NC; two brothers-in-law, who were closer than brothers, Bobby Honeycutt and Donald Honeycutt and wife, Ann all of Nebo, NC; five grandchildren, Sunshine Lorber, Savana Lorber, Tylor Lorber, Levi Shepard and Jackson Crawley; one great-granddaughter, Luna Robinson; a special aunt, Judy Wood; a special friend, Pam Kaylor; seven nephews; two nieces; and many other friends and relatives.

 

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Bethel Free Will Baptist Church.  A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. Ray Stockton officiating.  Interment will follow the service at McDowell Memorial Park with military honors provided by NC National Guard and Caldwell County Honor Guard.
