Keith "Budda" Cannon

Keith “Budda” Cannon, age 68, of the Montford Cove Community, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016 at his residence.  Born in McDowell County on May 11, 1947, he was the son of the late Chesley and Natilla Pannell Cannon.  Keith enjoyed spending time in his garden, but most of all, he loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by one sister, Sandra Gail Duckett.

Mr. Cannon is survived by his four precious daughters, Angie Wright, Mary Ann Cannon, Trish Franklin and Tammy Adams; one son, Rob Gibson; two brothers, John R. Cannon and Chris Cannon; thirteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and special friend, Roy Calhoun.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Montford Cove Baptist Church with Rev. Marvin Green officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the church.
