Kaye Roland Simmons

Mrs. Kaye Roland Simmons, widow of the late Billy Simmons, joined him and their Heavenly Father on July 1, 2023. Mrs. Simmons of the South Toe Community of Yancey County, was preceded in death by two young brothers and by her parents, Thomas Roland and Maine Whiteside of Marion, NC.

Mrs. Simmons is survived by an abundant loving family, including her three children and her sister, Rena Strickland of Marion, NC. Her children are Billie Simmons Pope of Burnsville, NC, Kenneth (Michelle) Simmons of Weaverville, NC and Tina (Mark) Haney of Burnsville, NC. She was also blessed with 10 grandchildren; Ty (April) Whitaker, Aimee Whitaker, Zack Davis, Kalie (Jake) Ollis, Jerry Haney, Mitchell Simmons, Erica McGee, Regan (Gabriel) McMahan, Destiny Pendley, and Dakota (Alissa) Renfro. She was loved by fifteen great-grandchildren and nine nephews.

Graveside service only will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at 3:00 pm at the Westall Cemetery on Gray Squirrel Lane, Burnsville, NC.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ty Whitaker, Zack Davis, Jerry Haney, Mark Haney, Jake Ollis and Kenneth Simmons.
