Kathy D. Thomas

Kathy Byers Thomas, age 63, of Bostic, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018 following a long illness at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills SECU Inpatient Unit in Forest City.  The daughter of the late Hoyle and Grace Rochester Byers, she was born on May 2, 1955 in Shelby, North Carolina. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Lucille Byers; and one brother, James Byers.

A loving wife, mother and sister, Kathy worked at Wal-Mart Supercenter in Forest City up until her health began to decline.  She enjoyed watching soap opera’s and loved to travel with her family, especially to Florida. 

Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Dale Thomas of the home; two sons, Phillip Dale Thomas of Rutherfordton and Mark Anthony Thomas of Bostic; one daughter, Amy Nicole Thomas of Las Vegas, Nevada; one brother, Steve Byers of Shelby; one granddaughter, Heather Thomas; and a number of nieces and nephews.
