Kathy Hudgins

On the night of Wednesday, May 27, 2020, Kathy McKinney Hudgins, age 65, of Marion, North Carolina, departed to be with the Lord.  A native of McDowell County, North Carolina, born on November 02, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Barney Wesley and Ruth Mathis McKinney. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Devon Hudgins who passed away on August 27, 2015.

A devoted Christian and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Kathy’s family was her world, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her precious memories are three sons, Devon Hudgins (Renee), Barney Hudgins (Nyssa) and Michael Hudgins (Hope); one daughter, Aron Demers (Ian); three brothers, Will McKinney, Ralph McKinney and John Yoder; eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Kathy’s life will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Pastor David Edwards and Pastor Jeff Duncan officiating.  Interment will follow at Hicks Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
