Katherine Louise Foster Trantham

     Katherine “Kathy” Foster Trantham, 63, of Nebo, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at the Carolina Caring Catawba Valley Hospice House in Newton.

     Kathy was born in Miami, Florida on February 8, 1960, to Edith Louise Gaul and the late Roy Eugene Foster. Kathy was known for her warm heart and great sense of humor. She enjoyed giving gifts to others and would always go out of her way to make others happy. Most of all, she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

     Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Edith Louise Gaul; her step father, Jim Gaul; a son, Jason Williams; a daughter, Katrina Fox (Stacey); a sister, Gail Cosby (Ken); a brother, Darrell Foster (Kathy); and seven grandchildren, Shyian Gage, Ian Bailey (Arianna Washington), Brandi Williams, Isaac Chester, Kayley Fox, Karley Fox, and Alexis Williams.

     The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. A graveside funeral will follow at Grandview Baptist Church Cemetery in Morganton. Pastor John Whisnant will officiate.
