Julia Ginette Postell Grant, 69, of Marion, departed this life Friday, May 3, 2024 after a brief illness.
She was born in New Smyrna Beach, Florida on November 27, 1954 to the late Preston Postell and Doretha Edwards. She also is preceded in death by a second mother, Mildred Reid Postell; and her son, David Jonathan Grant.
Julia Postell Grant was an anointed singer of the gospel. She has sung with numerous people around the world. She loved her family, friends, church family, ex husband and friend, David Grant, grandson Jonathan, and her precious daughter and best friend, Kellie.
Julia retired from Baxter in 2018, after 38 years. She then started to travel and enjoy her life. If you knew her, she loved all things seafood. She was a faithful member of Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church and sang to the glory of God every Sunday. She has impacted so many people she knew and didn’t know. A loving spirit and a loving Woman of God. She will most definitely be missed.
A quick message from Mommy:
On Wednesday morning, May 1st, I knew that my earthly presence would soon come to an end but would also be my beginning. Just know this one thing, I AM HEALED OF THE LORD!! If you knew anything about me, I stood on GOD’S word and I lived a life pleasing to the father. My gift was precious to me and i did not allow anything or anyone to hinder it. The one thing I want you all to remember and keep with you is, keep your eyes upon the Lord. Never stop believing and never stop trusting God! I am ok and I am resting safe IN HIS ARMS! Love you, Julia P!
